“പൊളിറ്റിക്കല്‍ കറക്റ്റ്നസ്സ്” എന്ന ചാപ്പപ്പേര്. “പി. സി.” എന്ന ചുരുക്കിയും പൊളിറ്റിക്കല്‍ കറക്റ്റ്നസ്സ് എന്ന് വിസ്തരിച്ചും പറയപ്പെടുന്ന അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രയോഗത്തിന് തത്തുല്യമായ ഒരു മലയാളപദം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. എങ്കിലും, ലോകമെമ്പാടും ഉയര്‍ന്നു വരുന്ന യാഥാസ്ഥിതികരാഷ്ട്രീയതരംഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭാവം കൊണ്ടാവണം, കേരളീയ പൊതുമണ്ഡലത്തിലും ഈ പ്രയോഗം കടന്നുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ട് . ഏറെക്കുറെ അടുത്തകാലം വരെ നമുക്കിടയില്‍ അധികം പ്രചാരത്തില്‍ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്ന ഈ പ്രയോഗത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രവും അതിനു പിന്നിലെ നിക്ഷിപ്തതാല്പര്യങ്ങളും കേരളത്തിലെ സ്വതന്ത്രചിന്തകസമൂഹത്തിനു പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നതാണ് ഈ കുറിപ്പിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം.
