The fraud of Nadi Jothisham...

When I was contacted by an arranger for a program on our movement by a journalist, I chose Tamilnadu for two important reasons. One was that the movement there must get due publicity and the other was that reading one’s prewritten palm leaves by the astrologers was supposed to very, very accurate according to many glowing reports on the net. I had visited one such a few years back and had exposed him but this time was an opportunity to do more, this time with prior preparation. The added attraction was that the sequence would be shot in high definition and expenses to be taken care of the by the company.

On the 8th June we went to a place sorry the place for Nadi jotidam- the Vaitheeswarn Kovil at Chidambaram about 250 kms from Chennai. Our team consisted of Gareth the producer, Brendon his son, Gurmith the photographer, Savitri Choudahry the arranger, Dr.Ganesh and I. We had cooked up a story for the astrologers- that Gareth was a wealthy textile tycoon and Savitri was his guide for all India, Ganesh for Tamilnadu and I for Karnataka. We were appropriately dressed for the occasion with large vermillion mark on the forehead and me in a long Khadi jiiba to hide my physique which would have made them suspicious of my claim to a poor retired laboratory technician now working as a tourist guide. Friends, The loss of human life at Sabarimala at  the evening of 14th January 2011 may be the greatest tragedy of the kind  in  21st century as far as Kerala is concerned. This is a human made tragedy, especially by the state govt. of Kerala, which is the aftermath of  crowding of lakhs of people to see the holy ‘makarajyothi’ which devotees think a manifestation of god Ayyappa, whereas which is a hoax as disclosed by the devaswam board, thanthri, and the then minister also. This cheat is continued to harvest money from the poor worshippers, most of whom come from other states who are not aware of the fact. A govt. constitutionally committed to propagate scientific temper is doing the contrary, i.e., propagating superstition. So, placing state govt. as first in the list of convicts a protest march is being conducted by Kerala Yukthivadi Sanghom Kozhikode Dist Committe on 19th January, at 5 pm. starting from Kozhikode  Mofussil busstand west gate. Request co-operation of all.

സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ,സമീപകാല കേരളം കണ്ട ഏറ്റവും വലിയ മനുഷ്യദുരന്തമാണ്‌ 14.01.11 ന് വൈകീട്ട് ശബരിമലയിലെ ഉപ്പുപാറ (പുല്ലുമെട്) യിലുണ്ടായത്.  ഇതിനു പ്രധാന ഉത്തരവാദി കേരള സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തന്നെയാണ്. സര്‍ക്കാരിനെ പ്രതിക്കൂട്ടില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനു മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ പറയുന്ന കാരണങ്ങളല്ല ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പറയാനുള്ളത്. ഡോ: സുകുമാര്‍ അഴീക്കോട്  ഇക്കാര്യം ഒരു പ്രസംഗമദ്ധ്യേ (മാതൃഭൂമി 16.01.11) സൂചിപ്പിച്ചത്  എല്ലാവരും  വായിക്കണം. മകരജ്യോതി എന്ന തട്ടിപ്പ് തുടരുന്നതാണ് ഈ ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ മൂല കാരണം. പൊന്നമ്പലമേട്ടില്‍ തെളിയുന്നത് മനുഷ്യന്മാര്‍ കത്തിച്ചു കാണിക്കുന്ന കര്‍പ്പൂര ജ്വാലയാണെന്ന് യുക്തിവാദികളുടെയും  മറ്റും  ശ്രമം കൊണ്ട് 1980 കളില്‍ തന്നെ തെളിയിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണെങ്കിലും അക്കാര്യം മന്ത്രിയും, തന്ത്രിയും, ദേവസ്വം ബോഡ്  പ്രസിഡന്റും സമ്മതിച്ചത് കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം മാത്രമാണ്.  എന്നിട്ടും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അനുമതിയോടെ ഈ തട്ടിപ്പ് തുടരുക യാണു. ലക്‌ഷ്യം പണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുക എന്നതു തന്നെ. എന്നാല്‍ എത്രയോ പാവപ്പെട്ട ഭക്തന്മാരാണ് ഈ വഞ്ചനക്ക് ഇരയാകുന്നത് എന്ന് കാണേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.  ഇത് ഒരു ഇടതുപക്ഷ ഭരണകൂടത്തിനു ഒരു നിലക്കും ഭൂഷണമല്ല. മകരജ്യോതി അയ്യപ്പന്‍റെ ദിവ്യ ചൈതന്യം കോണ്ടുണ്ടാവുന്നതാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിച്ചാണ് അന്യസംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് ഭക്തന്‍മാര്‍ ഈ മകരവിളക്ക് ദിവസം ലകഷ്യമാകി ശബരിമലയില്‍ എത്തുന്നത്‌. 25 ലക്ഷ ത്തോളം ഭക്തന്‍മാരാണ് ഇത്തവണ മകരവിളക്ക്‌ ദിവസം ശബരിസന്നിധിയില്‍ എത്തിയത്. ഇത്രയും ആള്‍ക്കാരെ ഉള്‍ക്കൊള്ളാന്‍ പരിമിതമായ  ക്ഷേത്രപരിസരത്തിനു കഴിയുകയില്ല. അത് നിയന്ത്രിക്കുക എന്നതും പ്രയാസകരമായ കാര്യമാണ്.  ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ വരവ് നിയന്ത്രിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് പ്രായോഗികമായ കാര്യം. മകരജ്യോതി കത്തിച്ചു കാണിക്കുന്നത് നിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ ഭക്ത ജനത്തിരക്ക് അന്നേ ദിവസം കുറയുമെന്ന കാര്യത്തില്‍ സംശയമില്ല. മകരജ്യോതിയുടെ പിന്നിലുള്ള സത്യം സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പരസ്യപ്പെടുത്തി എല്ലാവരെയും ബോദ്ധ്യപ്പെടുത്തണം. അതിനു സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തയ്യാറാവണം. അങ്ങനെ തയ്യാറാവാത്തത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇത്തരം ദുരന്തങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍ സര്‍ക്കാരാണ് മുഖ്യ കുറ്റവാളി  എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത്. മകരജ്യോതി കത്തിക്കുന്നത് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കണം എന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് കേരള യുക്തിവാദി സംഘം ഒരു പ്രതിഷേധ മാര്‍ച്  സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. 19.01.11 ബുധനാഴ്ച  വൈകീട്ട് അഞ്ചു മണിക്ക് കോഴിക്കോട് മൊഫ്യുസില്‍ ബസ് സ്റാന്ടിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഭാഗത്ത്‌ നിന്ന് പ്രകടനം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാവരുടെയും സഹകരണം പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു,

Public holiday for Makaravilakku ?...

Sri V.S. Achuthanadan, Chief Minister of Kerala, has said  that Govt. of Kerala will decide upon declaring public holiday for Makaravilakku. (See Mathrubhumi daily dated, 31.12.10)

As this is an anti-secular move and part of religious appeasement policy of the government, Kerala Yukthivadisanghom Kozhikode Dist Committee has decided to conduct a protest march on 5.01.11, wednesday at 5.30 pm. starting from Muthalakkulam Maidanam, Kozhikode.
