ദീര്‍ഘകാലം കേരളായുക്തിവാദി സഘത്തിന്റെ സംസ്ഥാന പ്രസിഡണ്ട്, യുക്തിരേഖ സ്ഥാപക പത്രാധിപര്‍ ‍, ഏ.റ്റി. കോവൂര്‍ സ്മാരക ട്രസ്റ്റ് സ്ഥാപക ചെയ്യര്‍മാന്‍ , കേരള സാഹിത്യ അകാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി, പത്രപ്രവര്‍ത്തികന്‍ ‍, ഗ്രന്ഥകാരന്‍ , പ്രഭാഷകന്‍ , കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ്, മനുഷ്യാവകാശ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍ തുടങ്ങി കേരളത്തിന്റെ സാമൂഹിക – സാസ്കാരിക മണ്ഡലങ്ങളില്‍ നിറഞ്ഞു നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് യുക്തിചിന്തയെ സമരോസ്ത്സുകമാക്കുകയും കാലാനുസ്ത്രതമായി ദാര്‍ശനീകവത്കരിക്കുകയും പ്രയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ലോകത്തോട് വിസ്മ്യതിയുടെ മറുപടം വലിച്ചിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഓര്‍മ്മയുടെ പ്രത്യശയശാസ്ത്രതീവ്രതകളുടെ നവമൂല്യങ്ങളുടെ ഊര്‍ജ്ജസ്ത്രോതസ്സുകള്‍ സുഹ്യത്ത്കള്‍ക്ക് അവശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പ്രിയ പവനന്‍ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉപ്പായി.

യുക്തിചിന്ത ഒരു ജീവിതചര്യതന്നെയായിരുന്നു. ശ്രീ പവനന്‍ മരണത്തിലും മുറുക്കെപിടിച്ചു. വേദോച്ചാരണങ്ങളും ജപമന്ത്രങ്ങളും ധൂപാതിലേപനങ്ങളും നിലവിള്‍ക്കിന്‍ പ്രഭയുമൊക്കെ മരണത്തില്‍പോലും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് മാറിനിന്നു. എത്രയോ മഹത് കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നെടുനായകത്വം വഹിച്ച ചെറിയ ശരീരമുള്ള ആ വലിയ മനുഷ്യന്‍ സമരപദങ്ങളില്‍ ആവേശമായിരുന്നു. അക്ഷരലോകത്തെ അഗ്നി സ്ഫുലിംഗമായിരുന്ന ശ്രീ പവനനെ സ്മരിക്കുകയും അദ്ദേഹം തുടങ്ങി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ കരുത്തോടെ മുനോട്ട് കൊണ്ടു പോവുകയും ചെയ്യുക എന്നത് ഏതൊരു മലയാളിയുടെയും കടമയാണ്. 21.06.2010 ഞായര്‍ രാവിലെ 9:30 മുതല്‍ വൈകുന്നതുവരെ ത്രിശൂര്‍ മോഡല്‍ ഗവ:ഗേള്‍സ് ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ ഹാളില്‍വച്ച് നടക്കുന്ന അനുസ്മരണ സമ്മേളത്തിലേക്ക് താങ്കളെ സുഹ്യത്ത്സമേദം ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു.

Mohamed Shiyaz (20) is a final year B.A Philosophy student studying at University College, Thiruvanathapuram.

Last night, he was mercilessly thrown out of his home by his fanatic father in the most dismissive manner.

Reason?-Shiyaz is an atheist!

Dont think that this event was taken place in Afghanistan or Iran.

Shiyaz is a brilliant student ranked second in his class. His native place is near CRPF camp at Pallipuram, Thiruvanathapuram.

Unable to yield to the extreme pressure and isolatory tactics employed by his family over the last few years, this determined young man has decided to fight his way out.

Please keep everybody informed of this snowballing darkness, spreading in the horizon of this secular nation.
